Old News ...
08-19-2001 : The guest art section has FINALLY been updated! It looks so much better in here without the FF stuff.:) Beyond the Freak Fest comics look for the new Sergio, and one from Daniel Lynch, and a promo piece by Lady Faith and I.
08-14-2001 : Doing lots of work offline now, hoping to get something put together to show. In the meantime, I'm participating in an online drawing circle HERE. Stop in and check it out. There will be some updates to the guest art section coming SOON! The Freak Fest content will be moved and new Mooney drawings will be added (including the killer new one by Sergio Aragones!). Stay tuned!
07-04-2001 : Happy 4th of July everyone! Remember to keep your head down... Make sure to check out my current link, Fergo and Enrique (pronounced en-REE-kay just so you know) where Mooney is cameoing in a circus storyline. Thanks Robert!
Remember everyone, it's time to get those pencils sharpened up for San Diego! Stuff your portfolios, grab a blank sketchbook, and get your butt down there! Only two weeks to go!

06-16-2001 : Hello again! I've moved my Henley activity off the web for awhile to try and put together a script proposal. I'll also be taking a comic course so that my return to web comics will be with a better, more polished product. I'll be changing out that blasted, outdated poll soon, sorry about that. I'll also be moving the Freak Fest stuff to the guest art page, we'll get this place cleaned up for you.
Relevant endorsements: Make sure to get your comic site listed on the LRA 101, a hip top site, with a groovy voting button (see above).
Also drop in the Willowvayle Artist Community, it's where I spend most of my time working on Average Joe and other drawing challenges which can be seen HERE. Stop in and contribute your two bits, we can use them!

05-07-2001 : I'm off and running over at my other place, I hope to see you there! I'll be rotating the comics here from the archive from time to time, just to keep this site in motion. I shall return, thanks everyone for sticking around!
05-01-2001 : Aftermath... I'll continue running panels until the 3rd. In the mean time I'm working to get Henley up on a regular schedule starting on Monday the 7th. *whew!* Hope ya'll stick around, there's more in store!
04-30-2001 : Well, this is it! Thanks again to Lady Faith for the surprise final panel, truly a fitting end to a great showcasing of some great artists! Make sure to dig the ripLEE renderings to the left here. They rock! He assures me that a panel will be finished soon, and when it is I'll be posting it here. I still have 3 more panels to draw before I move over to Henley so I hope you'll stick around a few more days. All the art will be moved to the guest art gallery for permanent display soon so don't worry if you haven't had a chance to dig through it all. I'll see you tomorrow! :)
04-27-2001 : Lee Adam Herold, artist of the most-read comic on Keenspace, brings us today's panel. His signature style makes him stand out from the rest! I hope you enjoy it, this will (probably) be our last guest panel for the Fest, but there will be other comics and some INCREDIBLE guest art to post along with my final 5 panels beginning tomorrow, so remember... It's not over yet!:)
04-26-2001 : Okay, things are still screwy. But I promise you 5 more 1999!s in addition to the 2 last guest strips before moving full time into Henley.
Today's panel is by Gary Clair of Offbeat! who is having a guest week of his own. Funny stuff! Make sure to check out his archives, he's got some good stuff. And while you're there, visit my guest panel for him.
04-23-2001 : oooaaaggaa... recovering ever so slowly from some type of flu. Terribly sorry for the holes this caused in the regular schedule, I should plan ahead better. Anyway, I'm back and on medication to finish out this last week the right way!:)
So, check out the new comics. And enjoy this last bit of Freaky, Festy goodness before it's back to business as usual. Only one difference..... 1999! will be going back on vacation in May so that I can try and build up my Land of Henley story in time for Comic Con a few months from now. I hope you all will follow the show over there and continue your generous support of my endeavors. I'm doing this for all of us, you know! And for you Moonies, fear not! For Herb Moonshine shall be making a cameo appearence in the coming months just for you! And for those of you who cannot groove with the feel of Henley, do not despair, the show is certainly not over for 1999! I simply need to regroup and work a little harder. I can almost assure you that it'll be a better product when I return to this.
Please continue to email in your feedback on all my projects. If I am to win your collective hearts I simply MUST know what's on your collective minds, K? Thanks for sticking with me through all my ADD fits. Though I may not be able to decide what I need to be working on, the desire to keep working is ever there. I'll keep cranking out stories as long as you're willing to listen. A flapping mouth does no good without a pair of ears to fill and all that.
04-19-2001 : "Got a minute?" Today's comic was done up by iRockZ of CRC202. A d#$%^ fine piece by a d#$%^ fine artist. Stop in and check out his comic today. You'll be glad you did!
04-17-2001 : Oh no! Has there been no comic up ALL morning?! Egad! Well, it's up now and it's by Scott Cattanach, who unfortunately has no link. Check out his other piece of guest art here while I go fix the missing comic problem.
04-14-2001 : Hey, check out Nova Machine by my good buddy Andy Reade! I'm guest artist for this week! Stop in and support one of the best new comics on Keenspace.
04-13-2001 : Happy "Good Cartoon Cartoon Friday the 13th"!! There's no Mooney in today's panel, but that's because I was hearing about the latest B. C. contraversy. It got me to thinking. Anyway, here's my free speech panel.
04-12-2001 : Whoa! I kind of took yesterday off! But, it was my birthday so I suppose I'm entitled. I actually did try and create a panel, though. I had Robert Sundin over trying to brainstorm with me but still I just couldn't quite get the idea right. I'll add an extra comic on the weekend to try and buy back your confidence. I see this as more honorable than posting a comic that was substandard. Hopefully you feel the same way.
Today's panel is by Spike, a good cyber buddy who works with us on Average Joe. I think his Sergio Aragones influence is obvious, yet, he still manages to have his own unique signature style. Groovy visuals, bud!
04-10-2001 : Today's panel was generously donated by F. Andrew Taylor! A Vegas friend who was once my boss when I worked doing caricatures! Andy writes and draws for many of the local alt. publications and seems to have some strange facination with rodents. Good job, Andy! Also, today is April 10th, I have to take this moment to wish my little boy Sam a happy 4th birthday! Way to hang in there, Sam I Am! Here's a panel from the archive that we collaborated on, enjoy!
04-09-2001 : Back on track today! It looks as if we'll have a late entry for the fest which could really be worth the wait! I'll keep you updated as this thing rolls on. Thanks for being a part of it! I'm doing this for you after all!;)
04-06-2001 : Okay, so I've copped out and posted a rerun to stay up ALL weekend! So now you say to yourself, "Here's a guy that doesn't take what he does seriously!" Well I'm here now to say, "This is not the case!" And to prove it, I've posted an extra comic for this weekend! Direct from the crypts of my old comics series, Mooney comics! Expect one both days of all weekends in April (and on days when I flake on the panel o' the day)! So there! Enjoy! There's lots more to come!:)
04-05-2001 : Now here's a horse of a different shape! Paul Roustan has really pulled off an interesting panel here. And, rectangular! Swing by Untitled Again and tell him, 'good job!'. Or, just read his comic.. he likes that, too!
04-03-2001 : The Freak Fest continues! Todays panel comes to you from Andy Reade. If you haven't read Nova Machine, now is a great time to start.
04-01-2001 : Hey! It's Freak Fest time! No foolin'! It seems to be a Keenspace tradition to swap strips for April Fool's Day. So today's is from Sundini the great! Make sure to check out Obscure Imagery and come back tomorrow as the Fest continues! 3 whole years of Mooney the turtle as a voice in my head. Whoa.. that's not that long really. p. s. sorry for the brain vacation this week. I've been sick as a dog! But, I better now, thanks for asking.
03-26-2001 : April is nigh! Almost time to show some Mooney appreciation! Remember.. Sunday's the day. April 1st. No foolin'! Today launches Andy Reade's new comics discussion forum. If you love to talk about comics, click on over and test his knowledge. He's good company, just tell him that Todd McFarlane sent you (even though he didn't).
03-23-2001 : I'm late. And I'm sorry. I tossed many presketches before settling on this one! Hope ya dig! Well, regarding the Freak Festivities this April, It turns out we really have no need for a MFF page to co-ordinate things, so all guest panels and other bonus comics will be placed (or link to on) this main page. And, by the way, I've gotten some of the guest panels back and they are KILLER! I can't wait to show them to you. Related news: Check out Offbeat! Ordinarily by Gary Clair, but today's is by your's truly! It was a trade for his guest panel. Stop on in and say "Howdy!". Maybe a big surge of traffic will encourage him to resume his regular drawing schedule (we love ya man!). And, finally, I'd like to thank everyone who voted for 1999! in the Planet Cartoonist getting me onto their top 100 and encourage everyone to continue voting so 1999! can claw it's way to the top (It could happen)...!
03-16-2001 : Hey!! We're working diligently on the Mooney's Freak Fest page, which should be up any day now. Keep an eye out, we've got some good art for you, coming very soon! Stick around, we'll try to make it worth your while. Well, I'm off to swim in a vat of green beer! I'll see you when the world stops spinning!!
03-05-2001 : The new site launches today, I hope you like it. The only think I will really miss are the buttons. The site desperately needed to be simplified.
Let me take this opportunity to announce "Mooney's Freak Fest'" coming this April. There will be a slew of guest art and I hope everyone will attend for Mooney the turtle's 3rd Birthday! Keep watching this news box for further updates.
